Technology projects in Uganda fail for the same reasons they fail everywhere else: unclear scope, inadequate planning, poor stakeholder communication and a governance framework that nobody actually uses. The tools and methodologies to prevent these failures have existed for decades. The challenge is applying them consistently, in an environment where the pressure to start work before requirements are agreed is constant and the consequences of getting it wrong fall on the organisation, not the vendor.
JAAM Group's project management practice is led by PMP-certified consultants with hands-on delivery experience across ICT infrastructure, application development and power systems projects. We understand the specific challenges of technology project delivery in Uganda: procurement lead times, power and connectivity constraints, skills availability and the organisational dynamics that determine whether a project gets the internal support it needs.
We offer project management consulting at three levels: delivery management for specific ICT or power projects (managing scope, schedule, budget and stakeholder communication throughout); PMO establishment and improvement (helping organisations build or strengthen the project management function, including governance frameworks, reporting templates, stage-gate processes and portfolio visibility tools); and executive coaching and training for project managers and senior sponsors who want to improve their organisations' delivery capability over time.
We operate across eight core areas; from security and ICT consulting to power solutions and managed services, united by a commitment to quality, clear communication and accountability.
